Speaker: Pawel Pilarczyk Title: Algorithmic Homology Computation as a Tool in Dynamics Abstract: We introduce algorithms for the (relative) homology computation of sets built of cubes with respect to a fixed grid in $\R^n$, as well as the homomorphisms induced in homology by continuous maps on such sets. This is a computational-topological tool that has recently been developed and improved to such an extent that it can be effectively applied to some real problems in dynamical systems, like the computation of the Conley index, for instance. This is a joint work with K. Mischaikow and M. Mrozek.
